Pattern tips: Onigiri
- Ring the white rice with one row of grey so the shape stands out.
- Make a few as magnets and your fridge looks like a bento box.
- Place the nori first so the middle stays straight.
FAQ
How many beads is the smallest onigiri?
The mini onigiri is 8 by 8 beads, 48 in all: about 2.1 cm with 2.6 mm beads.
Can I make them with 5 mm beads?
Yes. With 5 mm beads they come out about twice the size (a 16-bead pattern is about 8 cm), a good size for pretend play.
